May 10 and Tommy James & and the Shondells at 4 p.m. Several classic rock and pop groups will highlight the casino's entertainment schedule for the fishing opener weekend May 10-12, including Jan and Dean & the Surf City Allstars at 7 and 9:30 p.m. The American Indian Dance Theatre Group, featuring about two dozen dancers from tribes across the country, will perform at 7 p.m. Handmade Indian items will be on display throughout the day, starting at 10 a.m.
The fifth annual American Indian Month Powwow and Arts and Crafts Show will open the series Sunday, including traditional dance demonstrations from 1 to 6 p.m.
ONAMIA - Grand Casino Mille Lacs will celebrate American Indian Month and Minnesota's fishing opener with a series of events in early May at the Onamia facility.
